hi - i know i promised that we'd talk more
it's just i - i'm surprised you even want to talk at all
well you can refer to me as the one who still calls nervously
because i'm so scared that you still think
i'm the one who gave up
when i wasn't the only one who'd given up
and the plans we made we never mistakes
they just didn't work for us
so don't go pointing blame
at the ones who made you smile
you always knew
the deal that we made and what this was worth
that we'd try until the time
it stopped being fun and felt like real work
and i wasn't the only one who's feeling tired
of all the shit you gave and the dick you made me into
so i tried, i swear to god i did, but the truth is this:
us, and everything it was, just wasn't enough

This album is one of my favorite albums because of how raw and pure it sounds. The true emotion that comes from Jay's performance is more than believable and it's what helps Crywank stick as a proper musical icon. 10/10 would recommend to everyone if they were more than willing to give it a try. saintjimmy57
Introspective, homespun folk tunes from John Donne that feel informed by the sugary bleakness of '80s and '90s indie pop. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 1, 2023

Crywank with extra steps. I love these artists and nothing can take away from the fact that they have undeniably wonderful songwriting abilities but they might be better off having a engineer/producer do the recording. Still a fascinating listen with interesting experimentation and more lo-fi than Crywank had ever been. it's got a unique kind of charm to it being as d.i.y as music can possibly get but also holds it back a bit.
