sunshine came through every corner, peeking through the shades
it doesn’t have to fade, no nothing has to change
so i can go to sleep, finally
and i, i know nothing about the past
all i know is that it’s passed
so i can’t blame you for that
and you, you’re sleeping in my bed
and you’ve lied to me again
i can smell it on your breath
so live up to the name you’ve been making for yourself
i know it can be hell, but you need to think about your health
and you know we haven’t spoken since christmas eve
but out of the gifts under the tree
your voice was the best that i’d received
i just miss you more that i ever cared to explain
or admit to your face, before you’d gone away
you, all you left me was your blood
when you showed me what you’ve done
in a desperate search for love
and i, i know nothing about the past
all i know is that it’s passed
and it’s never coming back
so we can go to sleep, finally
This album is one of my favorite albums because of how raw and pure it sounds. The true emotion that comes from Jay's performance is more than believable and it's what helps Crywank stick as a proper musical icon. 10/10 would recommend to everyone if they were more than willing to give it a try. saintjimmy57
Introspective, homespun folk tunes from John Donne that feel informed by the sugary bleakness of '80s and '90s indie pop. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 1, 2023
”Seawheel Acoustic” delivers captivating melodies and heartfelt lyrics in songs that are equal parts soothing and enchanting. Bandcamp New & Notable Jul 10, 2023
Crywank with extra steps. I love these artists and nothing can take away from the fact that they have undeniably wonderful songwriting abilities but they might be better off having a engineer/producer do the recording. Still a fascinating listen with interesting experimentation and more lo-fi than Crywank had ever been. it's got a unique kind of charm to it being as d.i.y as music can possibly get but also holds it back a bit.
